Ensure you’re connected to the internet before you log in. Once you log in you should then automatically connect to the VPN.Using your personal computer with HorizonIf you are using a personal computer, you can use Horizon to access all City services.Open your browser, go to https://remoteapps.guelph.ca/,Enter “city\username” and your city password to log in.If you are having trouble with either option, call 519-822-1260 extension 2499. Our IT service team is working hard to get everyone connected and there may be a wait time for support.How to forward your phoneThe CISCO system will send any voicemails you get to your email as usual. You can allow calls to come into your regular extension and respond to voicemails, or you can remotely forward your desk phone to a mobile or home phone number.From Jabber: Click the small icon of the phone on the bottom left of your main Jabber window. Choose Forward calls to, New number, and enter your phone number starting with a 9 and the 1 if it is long-distance from Guelph.From Horizon: To forward your phone, go to https://cog-cucm1/ucmuser/. If you see a web safety message, just choose to proceed to the site. Login using your Windows login information (username and password).Under the Phones tab choose Call Forwarding, check Forward all calls to and enter the phone number you wish to forward calls to starting with 9 (to dial out) and 1 if the call is long distance from Guelph. To turn call forwarding off, simply uncheck the Forward all calls box.Please update your voicemail and email auto-repliesVoicemail and email messagesWorking remotely or in a City facilityDo not use an email auto-reply or out of office alert; answer your emails as you normally would. Forward your phone extension to your mobile/home phone, or call in to check your messages on a regular basis.Sample voicemail greeting: Hello, you’ve reached <NAME> in <DEPARTMENT>. I am working today, but not able to take your call. Please leave me a message and I will return your call as soon as possible.
