Roger Brown award from the Canadian Public Works Association

The City of Guelph received the Roger Brown award from the Canadian Public Works Association for its efforts in encouraging participation and educating residents on  Public Works Operations. The awards recognize a municipality’s contributions to creating community awareness and promotion of the Public Works profession through activities held during Public Works Week. A series of educational seminars, discussions and hands-on field demonstrations were part of the activities during the week. Local high-school students and participants from the Specialist High Skills Major Program participated in traffic sign maintenance and manhole and catchbasin repair.
