Stevenson Street northbound lanes closed starting week of Aug 24

Three month closure on Stevenson from Elizabeth to Grange About the project The City is reconstructing Stevenson Street, from Elizabeth Street to Grange Street, as it replaces important underground sewer and water pipes. Final roadway reconstruction includes a lane reduction from four lanes to two, with the addition of on–road bicycle lanes and sidewalks, curbs and gutters. The addition of these bike lanes is a recommendation of the 2013 Cycling Master Plan and will provide a north-south connection between Elizabeth and Grange. Construction begins week of August 24 Construction starts the week of August 24 and is expected to end in December, weather permitting. Elizabeth Street to Grange Street The City of Guelph is hosting an open house to present plans for for Stevenson Street, from Elizabeth Street to Grange Street. Thursday, June 25   Drop in hours: 5 – 7 p.m. Italian Canadian Club, 135 Ferguson Street Why come to the open house? This is your opportunity to view project information, including maps and schedules. We invite you to talk with City staff and consultants working on the project so that you can ask questions and clarify plans including traffic changes, timing and property access.
