Transforming the Way the City Does Business: Citizen-focused Service Delivery GUELPH, ON, November 1, 2012 – In her annual State of the City address this morning, Mayor Karen Farbridge stressed the importance of transforming the way the City does business. She proposed that doing business differently – a major theme of the City’s new strategic plan, “Our City- Our Future” – is about transforming the City’s relationships both inside and outside City Hall. Mayor honours local citizens who are making a difference

16th annual Mayor’s Awards presented at Awards of Excellence gala GUELPH, ON, June 29, 2012 – Mayor Karen Farbridge has recognized Guelph citizens Doug Grove and Virginia Gillham for their outstanding volunteer contributions, presenting them with Mayor’s Awards at the Guelph Chamber of Commerce’s annual Awards of Excellence gala. Doug Grove is a longstanding volunteer at Guelph Museums, River Run Centre, Canadian Council for the Blind, and Canadian National Institute for the Blind; he has also helped shape accessibility policies and programs at the City of Guelph and Guelph General Hospital.
