Council adds properties to Municipal Heritage Register

Owners to give 60 days notice before removing or demolishing buildings GUELPH, ON, May 6, 2009 – In an effort to preserve Guelph’s history and culture, City Council voted to add 1,900 properties to the Municipal Register of Cultural Heritage Resources during a meeting Monday night. “Being included on the list is not the same as a Heritage Designation,” says City Planner, Joan Jylanne. “The process for building renovations and additions doesn’t change.
