City and Guelph firefighters’ union go to mediation

Guelph, Ont., January 22, 2016 – The City and the Guelph Professional Firefighters’ Association (GPFFA) will take part in mediated contract negotiations on January 26. The Ministry of Labour’s (MOL) mediation process follows conciliation and precedes interest arbitration. Seasoned fire and EMS leader comes to Guelph as interim fire chief

Guelph, Ont., November 19, 2015 – Today, Deputy Chief Administrative Officer Derrick Thomson announced the selection of Andy MacDonald as the City of Guelph’s interim general manager of Emergency Services and fire chief. Arbitration dates set for City and Guelph firefighters’ contract negotiations

Guelph, Ont., November 19 – The City and the Guelph Professional Firefighters’ Association (GPFFA) will resume contract discussions through interest arbitration next year. City and GPFFA reach tentative agreement

Guelph, On, April 15, 2014 – This afternoon the City and the Guelph Professional Firefighters Association (GPFFA) reached a tentative two-year, collective agreement.
