Cycling Master Plan Implementation

About the project Council has approved the Cycling Master Plan, which introduces cycling infrastructure such as on-street bike lanes throughout Guelph. Introducing bike lanes on Downey Road, Eastview Road, Grange Road, Starwood Drive and Stevenson Street North may result in changes to current on-street parking. Staff will be undertaking consultation with residents in these areas to find opportunities to reduce on-street parking impacts before repaving occurs. Stevenson Street North and Downey Road will be completed in 2013. Guelph among Ontario’s most bicycle-friendly cities

City wins silver award at sixth annual Ontario Bike Summit Toronto, ON, April 14, 2014 – This morning, Guelph was among 24 communities to receive a Bicycle Friendly Community Award during the sixth annual Ontario Bike Summit in Toronto, Ontario The Share the Road Cycling Coalition recognized the City of with a silver Bicycle Friendly Community Award this year.
