Councillor Cathy Downer joins Association of Municipalities of Ontario board

Guelph, Ont., August 15, 2016– Ward 5 Councillor Cathy Downer has joined the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) Board of Directors as a member of the Large Urban Caucus. Guelph delegation to meet with Provincial ministers at Association of Municipalities of Ontario conference

Guelph Innovation District, Open Government, and 2-way GO on the agenda GUELPH, ON, August 14, 2015 – Mayor Cam Guthrie will lead a delegation from Guelph at the annual Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) conference in Niagara Falls, August 16 to 19. In addition to Mayor Guthrie, delegates will include Councillors James Gordon, Cathy Downer, and Mark MacKinnon; Chief Administrative Officer Ann Pappert; and other City staff. The group will have meetings with: Minister of Economic Development, Employment and Infrastructure Brad Duguid to discuss the City’s plans for the Guelph Innovation District (former Correctional lands); Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing Ted McMeekin to discuss Open Government; and, Minister of Transportation Steven Del Duca to discuss 2-way GO.
