2009 Urban Design Action Plan

A look at Guelph’s design and development priorities

Good urban design is essential to building an attractive, well-functioning city while planning for future growth.

What is the Urban Design Action Plan?

The purpose of the Urban Design Action Plan is to prioritize our goals and set a course of action aimed at building better communities. It also establishes urban design objectives for specific areas expected to see the most change over the next few decades.

  • downtown
  • community nodes
  • new communities and development
  • employment areas
  • neighbourhood infill

Through the Urban Design Action Plan we can establish and share a vision, and develop policies to manage how Guelph will continue to change and grow.
