Climate Change Office

The Climate Change Office leads the City’s efforts in climate mitigation, adaptation and sustainability.

  • Initiate climate adaptation with resilient City infrastructure
  • Update Guelph’s Emergency Response Plan to address climate vulnerabilities
  • Establish a fund with savings from efficiency projects, to support climate-related initiatives
  • Provide support for current and planned sustainability-related projects, such as:
    • Economical alternative fleet fuel solutions
    • Enviro Guide
    • Construction of new City facilities
  • Manage a cross-departmental Energy, Water and Climate Change (EWACC) staff working group to deal with all City climate change and sustainability initiatives
