City celebrates start of construction for South End Emergency Services Station

GUELPH, ON, September 29, 2009 – The City of Guelph will mark the start of construction of the South End Emergency Services Station on Friday, October 2.

The South End Emergency Service Station will be a 35,000 square foot building that will encompass shared facilities for Police, Fire, and Emergency Medical Service (EMS) to provide emergency services to residents in the south end of the city.

Frank Valeriote, Member of Parliament for Guelph, Liz Sandals Member of Provincial Parliament for Guelph and Dave Levac, Member of Provincial Parliament for Brant and Parliamentary Assistant for Community Safety and Correctional Services, will be in attendance to celebrate with Mayor Farbridge, Councillors and City staff.
