Pottery – Family Night

Get creative with your family and have fun together in our Pottery Studio! Learn some basic techniques in hand-building forms and try the wheel together. All family members will have the chance to participate and create projects. One adult must register with child(ren). All supplies included.

Fee: $30.00 per adult, $15.00 per child

Clay Creations (parent and child)

No matter your level of experience, these two classes will be fun for both parent and child. This not a ‘parent help your child create something’ class. Rather, it is a time to be together, each person learning how to create in clay. We will make creations using hand building techniques including pinch pots, slab and coil building. Expect to bring home lots of treasures—times two!

Kids ‘N’ Clay Adventures

In this action packed six-week class, your adventurous young potter will courageously construct coil pots, build pinch pots like never before and bravely try to conquer the potter’s wheel. Children will conclude their adventures with a final day of glazing and return to claim their loot after it has been fired.

Teen Pottery

Learn to throw on a potter’s wheel and have fun with exciting handbuilding techniques. Use these techniques to create mugs, bowls and a wide variety of objects. Exercise your imagination and practice your new skills to create meaningful objects and master the potter’s wheel.

Adult and senior’s programs, workshops and open studio

Adult Pottery Wheel and Handbuilding

Create your own pieces from wet clay, to bisque and glaze. Come away with the experience of this creative journey and finished pieces from your home, office… for wherever or whatever your heart desires. Learn to work with clay, pottery tools and equipment through various hand building and wheel thrown projects. Students work at their own pace with instruction and guidance to help you create decorative and useful objects! This class is for all levels of ability.

Pottery on the Wheel

Concentrate solely on throwing on the potter’s wheel. Learn about the fundamentals of wheel thrown pottery including trimming and assembling pieces. We will have two glaze classes, one on the fifth and the other on the last week. The last class will be dedicated to glazing, decorating and finishing your pieces

Open Studio / Guild

  • Saturdays and Sundays, drop in from 1 to 5 p.m.
  • Completion of two courses in wheel or handbuilding required.
  • Participants are expected to follow studio procedures.
  • Currently only 12 spaces available at a time. First come, first serve

Cost:: $6 per hour plus clay and firing fees. NEW- Purchase a 10-hour pass for only $50.00. Clay and firing fees still apply.
