Guelph Transit offers chartered bus service that is economical, convenient, and a safe way of getting around. If you are planning a graduation, wedding or other special event, an experienced and professional driver at the wheel means a more relaxed ride for guests.
Guelph Transit buses are air-conditioned, clean and comfortable.
We have two styles of vehicles available to suit your transportation needs.
Low floor conventional buses
Our low-floor buses, which have no steps to climb, offer a seating capacity of up to 41 passengers, and a loading capacity (seated and standing) of up to 80 passengers.
The driver is able to lower the front of the bus to curb level and put down a ramp to the curb. This makes boarding easier for everyone, especially people with mobility aids, shopping carts and strollers.
Each mobility services vehicle is equipped with seat belts and wheelchair restraint systems. For the safety reasons, all passengers must wear seat belts and use the passenger restraint systems provided.
These vehicles are able to accommodate wheelchairs and scooters that are no wider than 86.36 centimetres (34 inches) and no longer than 101.6 centimetres (40 inches). Wheelchair lift/ramps can accommodate a maximum of 273 kilograms (600 pounds).
- Charter rate: $120 per hour plus HST (minimum 2 hour booking)
- Charter rate for not-for-profit: $100 per hour plus HST (minimum 2 hour booking)
The charter rate starts from the time the bus departs Guelph Transit until it returns.
Bus charter availability
- Monday to Saturday: 5:00 a.m. – 2:00 a.m.

Design your own route
You are free to design your own route for your charter. When Guelph Transit approves your booking, you will be asked to provide a map of your desired route for review and approval.
If, in the interest of passenger safety and convenience (i.e. due to road closures or construction delays), a change in the routing is necessary after the charter has been booked, Guelph Transit reserves the right to implement such change.
The Guelph Transit Operator does not provide any commentary or step-on services. If this service is required, the chartering party is responsible to make arrangements for a step-on guide at their own cost.
We can also provide charter bus services outside of the City of Guelph.
