Curbside Waste Collection

Three stream sortingGuelph residents participate in a three-stream curbside collection program called Wet-Dry+—Wet for organics, Dry for recycling and Waste for landfill.
 
Wet (green) and Dry (blue) bags and containers are collected weekly on your regular collection day, while WASTE (clear) bags and containers are collected every other week based on two collection schedules—Week A and Week B.

Don't miss your Waste collection week
Print a copy of your Waste collection schedule. Your clear Waste bags and containers are collected during the weeks highlighted in purple for Week A collection or highlighted in yellow for Week B collection.

Your Waste collection schedule is included in the City’s Conservation Calendar.

Collection day reminders:

  • Wet, Dry and Waste materials must be placed loosely in each see-through coloured bags:
    Dry waste: blue bag, Wet waste: green bag, Waste for landfill: clear bag.
  • Non-compliant waste must be removed from the curb by 7 p.m. on your collection day
  • Place waste within one foot of the curb for safe and efficient collection
  • During the winter, place bags and containers in the mouth of your driveway or a spot shovelled from the snowbank. Waste must not be placed on top of snowbanks.
