UNIVERSITY EXPRESS BUS SERVICE
Service will resume on September 7

Guelph Transit operates several express buses that service the University Centre and surrounding areas only; these routes do not travel downtown to St. George’s Square. The express buses operate from September to May with the exception of winter break and reading week.

Your Student Card is your Ticket to Ride
Students at the U of G can begin using their valid student cards to travel on Guelph Transit beginning on September 1st, but they must have their bus pass stickers on their student cards by September 11th or they will be asked to pay regular fare.

Sticker distribution takes place at the U o G on September 9th and 10th.

LATE NIGHT SERVICE 
Service will resume on September 9, 2010

Guelph Transit, in partnership with the Central Student's Association, operates several late night routes and a downtown shuttle that provide transit service once regular Guelph Transit service had ended.  Route schedule information is included below. Downtown Shuttle
Guelph Transit provides shuttle service to the UC from downtown, beside the new City Hall on Wilson Street at Carden Street, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, from 12:15 a.m. to 3:45 a.m.


West Hanlon-Kortright Loop
West Hanlon-Kortright Loop leaves the UC every hour starting at 12:30 a.m., with the last bus leaving the UC at 3:30 a.m., Tuesday to Saturday only. 

This route will travel from the UC on Stone Rd., right on Edinburgh, left on Wilsonview Ave., left on Scottsdale Dr., right on Janefield Ave., left on College Ave., to Stone Rd., right on Woodland Glen Dr., left on Downey Rd. to Kortright Rd. W., left on Ironwood Rd., right on Scottsdale Dr., left on Kortright Rd. W., left on Gordon St., returning to the UC. 


Clairfields-Edinburgh Loop
Clairfields-Edinburgh Loop leaves the UC every 30 minutes starting at 12:30 a.m., with the last bus leaving the UC at 3:30 a.m., Tuesday to Saturday only.

This route will travel from the UC directly down Gordon St. to the Clairfields traffic circle, then make a return trip on Gordon St., turning left on Edinburgh Rd., right on Youngman Dr., left on Harvard Rd., right on Rickson Ave., left on Kortright Rd. W., left on Gordon St., right on Stone Rd., returning to the UC. 



North London-Elizabeth Loop
North London-Elizabeth Loop leaves the UC every hour starting at 1 a.m., with the last bus leaving the UC at 3 a.m., Tuesday to Saturday only.

The North London-Elizabeth shuttle departs the UC, travelling west on Stone Rd., right on Edinburgh, right on London Rd. W., to Woolwich St. and picks up passengers at 2 locations downtown, Woolwich and Wyndham and Woolwich and Macdonell. The shuttle travels along Woolwich to Elizabeth St., right on Victoria Rd., right on College Ave., entering the University of Guelph via East Ring Road.



Sunday Service
Sunday Route leaves the UC every hour starting at 6:30 p.m., with the last bus leaving the UC at 12:30 a.m.

This route will travel from the University Centre, directly down Gordon St. to the Clairfields traffic circle, then make a return trip on Gordon St., turning left on Edinburgh Rd., left on Kortright Rd. W., right on Woodland Glen, left on Stone Rd. W., right on College Ave. W., right on Janefield Ave., left on Scottsdale Dr., right on College Ave. W., left on Edinburgh Rd. S., right on London Rd. W., right on Woolwich St., left on Macdonell St., right on Elizabeth St., right on Victoria Rd., right on College Ave. E., left on East Ring Rd., and right on South Ring Rd., where it will return to the University Centre. This route is not shown on the map.

Guelph Transit Quick Facts

Bus schedules and route maps are available on guelphtransit.ca

2.

Guelph Transit provides service to each stop every 20 minutes from start of service until 6:45 p.m., Monday to Friday. Buses arrive every 30 minutes after 6:45 p.m., Monday to Friday and all day Saturdays and Sundays.

3.

Your U of G bus pass must have a valid sticker in order to use Guelph Transit and must be clearly shown to the driver when you board the bus. (Without a valid U of G bus pass, passengers must pay full bus fare).

4.

You can ask the Transit Operator to make non-scheduled stops at any point along a regular route (where safe to do so) after 6:45 p.m. These requested stops will be in addition to all regularly scheduled stops.

5.

Guelph Transit Operators are responsible for the operation of the bus and administering the rules and regulations. These rules ensure a safe and comfortable ride for all passengers.

  • No food or drink are permitted on buses
  • No skis, toboggans, snowboards or bikes are permitted on buses
  • Passengers traveling with strollers and/or bundle buggies must:
    - Board and alight independently
    - Maintain care and control of their stroller and/or bundle buggy
    - Keep stroller and/or bundle buggy clear of the aisle
  • No pets (unless in a small pet carrier) permitted on buses. Service animals are permitted on buses
  • No smoking is permitted on buses or in shelters in accordance with City of Guelph by-laws
  • Shoes and shirts must be worn at all times on the bus
  • Priority seats are available at the front of all buses for the elderly or individuals with disabilities
