The Evergreen Seniors Centre

Evergreen Seniors CentreThe Evergreen Seniors Centre is located at 683 Woolwich Street in Guelph, close to Riverside Park. 

The Centre has a gymnasium/auditorium, several activity/meeting rooms, snooker room, a lending library, a health room, a computer lab and a public dining room.

We have a lot going on this season! Spring and Summer program registration is ongoing! These programs are hot and space is limited so register quickly so not to be disappointed.  Each program is outlined in the Community Leisure Guide. Sign up early and enjoy these excellent programs and activities. 

We are ready to take your registration in person at the any City of Guelph Recreation Centre, by phone at 519-837-5699 or online at www.regexpress.guelph.ca. Registration for FALL and WINTER programs begins Monday, August 30th.

The Centre is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with the exeception of statutory holidays. For more information about programs, services and rentals, please call the Centre at 519-823-1291 or send a message to evergreen@guelph.ca.

Please note that on August 11 and 24 the Evergreen Seniors Community Centre will be open from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM for GWSA Programs only.  All other activities will be cancelled on the above mentioned dates.

VOLUNTEER INFORMATION:
Evergreen Seniors Centre is a thriving active centre due to its dedicated volunteers. We have many positions availabe. Speak with the Volunteer Coordinator to find a volunteer opportunity that is the right fit for your skills.                                              

We have many rooms available for rent. Call Maggie at 519-823-1291 x2454 for more information or email evergreen@guelph.ca

SPECIAL EVENTS:


Blood Pressure Clinics - August 25 10:00am - 12:00 pm A registered nurse from Royal on Gordon will be available  to provide free information on controlling your blood pressure as well as checking your blood pressure for you. We ask people to register in advance by calling 519-823-1291, but are open to indivduals just 'dropping in'

Summer Tea Dance, 1:30 – 3:00 pm, August  18 The Guelph Wellington Seniors Association Linedancing group is hosting an afternoon dance at the Evergreen Senior Centre.  Great DJ (Ted Lavoie) music, good fun and lots of fun await you.  Tea, coffee and desserts. Everyone welcome! Please call the centre to purchase your tickets ($7/person) 519-823-1291
 
September 8, 9:00 am – Evergreen Centre Golf Socialenjoy a great morning of golf followed by a social lunch.  Call 519-823-1291 for more details.
 
Evergreen Adventure Canoe Trip, Sept 9 – 13, Join others 55+ on a temagami back country canoe trip. You will be accompanied by two guides while you paddle a number of Ontario lakes. All food and equipment is supplied. The Evergreen Seniors Centre is hosting an information night on July 28th at 7:00pm.

December 2, 3 & 4 – Guelph Wellington Seniors Association hosts their annual Variety Show, A great variety show, performed completely by seniors. Comedy, music, and more! Call 519-823-1291 for tickets.
