Guelph Innovation District (York District Lands)

The City has exciting plans for the more than 450 ha. (1,000 acres) bounded by York Rd, Victoria Rd S, the York-Watson Industrial Park and the City’s southern boundary.

The Innovation District is is vital to meeting employment and housing targets consistent with Guelph’s Growth Management Strategy and the Province’s Growth Plan; supporting an economic cluster focussed on green-economy and innovation sector jobs; and offering opportunities for integrated energy planning as part of the Community Energy Plan.

The area is central to building partnerships with the Province, Federal government, public and private organizations.

York District Land Use and Servicing Study
The City is studying potential future land uses for the area and is working with a consultant team, led by planningAlliance.
