Partners in Stewardship of our Natural Environment
It has been said that we do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we merely borrow it from our children. The environmental resources of the City of Guelph are the land, air, water and the other living creatures that we share our space with. These do not belong to individual residents or landowners. As a society, we have a mutual responsibility to be good stewards of these resources and pass them on to our children in better condition than we received them from our parents. It is every person’s individual responsibility, and it is the community of Guelph’s joint responsibility, to do what we can in our daily lives to be good stewards.
