The City of Guelph is pleased to offer the Healthy Landscapes - Landscape Assessment Program, designed to assist residents and local business in establishing low water use and natural pesticide-free outdoor environments.

Landscape Assessment Program


The Landscape Assessment Program is designed to provide information on outdoor water efficiency, preventative landscape maintenance practices, and natural pest control alternatives to Guelph residents and area business. 

Through this program, a City of Guelph Landscape Advisor will visit your property to provide site-specific suggestions and landscape advice. The focus of the landscape assessment will be catered to you to provide suggestions regarding site landscaping alternatives and to answer questions you may have. Some typical items which may be covered through a landscape assessment site visit include:    

To book a landscape assessment for 2010:

Site visits begin in May 2010 and will be booked between 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., Monday to Thursday weekly until August 26, 2010. Each consultation will be approximately 30 minutes in length. Please note that spaces are limited with approximately 500 visits available for the 2010 spring/summer season. Landscape Assessment appointments will be booked on a first-come, first-serve basis.
