St. George’s Park

The City’s Parks and Shade Tree Committee organized the purchase of four acres of land in 1909 for $4,000.
Half of the park property was bought from the MacDonald family and the other half from the McConkey family. The park was named after the ward it is in. The park name was a request of the McDonald family.
