What to do with a downpour: Ornamental ways to handle rainwater

April 5 at 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm

Free

Presented by: Sean James

Techniques will be discussed to aid in infiltrating rainwater into the soil while beautifying your landscapes and allowing a more unusual palette of plants to be used. Rain Gardens can be a beautiful addition to any yard and allow the planting of some truly interesting plants. We’ll cover how to design and build a rain garden including placement, construction and plant choices.

This event will also have a demonstration or mini-talk by a local Master Gardener. They will also be available before and after the main event to answer any gardening questions.

This series is supported by the City’s Healthy Landscapes program. Visit guelph.ca/healthylandscapes for more information.
