| Board of Directors of Guelph Hydro | The Board is responsible under the provisions of the Public Utilities Act and the Power Corporation Act to conduct the affairs of the municipal electric utility. The utility is responsible for the construction, operation and maintenance of the electrical distribution systems to supply electrical energy to residents and businesses within the City.

| Board of Trustees of the Elliott Community | The Elliott Community is a charitable, non-profit senior’ residence offering a continuum of residential and nursing services. The Elliott has completed a redevelopment project comprising of a new, state of the art long term care facility, additional retirement suites, and a community centre offering activities for seniors. The Board oversees and governs senior management on issues of policy, sound fiscal and operational management of this unique facility. | Eastview Landfill Site Public Liaison Committee | Mandate as per Condition 20.1 of the Certificate of Approval. The .... shall appoint a PLC to review and provide recommendations on annual operational and monitoring reports, landfill site protocols, proposed end use of the Site and any other information which is pertinent to landfilling operations at the Site. These recommendations, along with any minority positions, may be forwarded to the City or the Director for their consideration

| Economic Development Advisory Committee | This committee's mandate is to: champion and promote economic development directions and programs by providing leadership in the development and implementation of strategic action plans to stimulate business growth and jobs in the City of Guelph and strong community linkages with City Council; to advise Guelph Council and staff in the implementation of its Economic Development Strategy; to advise Guelph Council and staff on policies and programs consistent with an economic development strategy to sustain and nurture a strong economic base in the City of Guelph; to monitor, review and update the Economic Development Strategy.

| Environmental Advisory Committee | To provide advice and assistance to City Administrative Staff in Planning and Management with respect to conservation of the natural environment. The EAC is a technical advisory Committee established by and responsible to City Administration and through the Planning, Works and Environment Committee. The EAC which will provide recommendations to Administration on submitted planning applications in accordance with Council adopted Terms of Reference. The intent of EAC is to not delay development, but to be involved in an early stage of the process in order to keep developments moving. The response time for applications is 30 to 60 days. Applications must be complete in order to be processed within the respective time frame.

| Guelph Junction Railway Company Directors | The Guelph Junction Railway provides local rail service on 18 miles of main line trackage from Guelph Junction to the City of Guelph's north west industrial basin. It is a dual access short line railway with connections to both Canadian Pacific Railway and Canadian Nation Railway.The Guelph Junction Railway was created in 1884 by act of Federal Parliament.

| Guelph Museums Board of Management | The mandate of this board is: having the general management, regulation and control of all properties both real and personal belonging to the City for museum purposes; to acquire on behalf of the City by gift, purchase, or loan any objects, such as artifacts, furniture, clothing and other items which the Museum Board considers useful for the Museums; to classify, maintain, repair and/or display any and all such objects according to the discretion of the Museum Board members and/or its advisors; to publicize the work of the Museums; to conduct public lectures and classes as the Museum Board shall from time to time see fit; to employ in conformity with its budget, the professional and non-professional help necessary for the Museum’s efficient operation; to present to the City Council at the end of each calendar year an annual report of its activities and a recommended budget for the succeeding year. | Guelph Non-Profit Housing Corporation Board of Directors | The primary objective of the Corporation is to provide and operate 545 units of affordable rental housing within the community.. To purchase, lease, and otherwise acquire and to hold, enjoy, manage, develop and improve lands and buildings and interests therein for the carrying out of the above objectives. To accept government grants, donations, gifts, bequests and legacies for the above objects. To borrow money and issue securities and bonds for the above objects. Corporation was incorporated by Letters Patent issued by the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario on the 4th day of October 1988.

| Guelph Police Services Board | Pursuant to Part III of the Police Services Act, RSO 1990, Part III, the Police Services Board is responsible for the provision of adequate and effective police services in the municipality. The Board appoints members of the municipal police service and determines the objectives and priorities for the provision of policing services in the municipality in consultation with the Chief of Police. The Board gives orders and directions to the Chief but not to individual members. As a civilian oversight body, the Board has general superintending authority over the municipal police service through policy development and specific administrative tasks, but not the day to day operations. The Board is responsible for developing the operating and capital estimates for the police service which are ultimately approved by Council. The Board, as the employer, is also responsible for collective bargaining with the police associations and other labour relations matters.

| Property Standards/Fence Viewers Committee | The Committee established under The Property Maintenance and Occupancy Standards By-law, hears appeals against orders issued under the By-law. The Committee has the authority to confirm, modify or quash an Order and may extend the time for compliance, as long as the general intent of the by-law and the Official Plan and policy statement are maintained. | River Run Centre Board of Directors | The principal purpose of the Board is to maintain, operate, manage, market and promote the Centre and to: provide input from the community for the operation of the centre; to advise the Centre Manager in the maintenance, operation, management, marketing and promotion of the Centre; carry out fundraising on an ongoing basis; establish operating policies for the Centre (By-law (1994)-14707).

| River Systems Advisory Committee | To provide advice and assistance to City Staff and to Guelph City Council on issues that impact on waterways and adjacent lands within the City of Guelph. The RSAC will facilitate the implementation of the River Systems Management Plan by assisting in the development and monitoring of Action Plans. The RSAC will be involved in all new subwatershed studies as well as existing subwatershed studies. The RSAC will be responsible for any revisions to the River Systems Management Plan. The RSAC will also be responsible for any new initiatives with respect to the River Systems Planning. The RSAC should request, receive and exchange information from groups and individuals with respect to riverland issues. (Council Resolution: November 7, 1994)
