The City, with the assistance of the Animal Control Working Group, is reviewing its animal control bylaws to make sure they meet the community’s needs for regulating poultry, and domestic and exotic animals in Guelph.

Engagement results

The City hosted four identical public meetings in November 2015, following by an online survey throughout December 2015 to gather public input on draft revisions proposed by the Animal Control Working Group. The report below summarizes the feedback from residents. Its purpose is to inform the work of the Animal Control Working Group, whose final recommendations will shape the content of a report to Council containing a recommended new Animal Control bylaw.
