The City will treat the affected area near the River Run Centre, remove stumps, wood chip mulch, and install termite traps in John Galt Park. In May, the City will inspect about 300 downtown properties to determine the size of the termite infestation. Once the area is defined, the City will implement a complete control plan, install traps and put further control measures into effect as required.

The City of Guelph is developing a master plan for Jubilee Park, located at 11 Sweeney Drive in the city’s south end.
Giant Hogweed is an invasive biennial or perennial plant. It reaches a height of 10 to 15 feet (three to four metres) when in flower and has hollow stems, two to four inches (five–ten centimetres) in diameter with dark reddish-purple spots and bristles.
The City of Guelph is accepting submissions until July 12, 2013 for naming / renaming City assets.
The City is planning to replace the St. George’s Park washroom building during the off-season in 2013.
