East of Woolwich Street
Guelph Hydro Energy Systems Inc. is working to install the Electrical Service Connection to 9 Woodlawn Road East. Work is being completed by Drexler Construction.
Work begins October 23; two-way traffic to be maintained
There will be lane reductions for at least two days during the work period, with two-way traffic maintained at all times. Delays should be expected.
The sidewalk on the south side of Woodlawn will be closed. Pedestrians are asked to cross at the nearest protected crosswalk. The eastbound bike lane will be blocked in the work area. Cyclists can dismount and use the protected crosswalks and sidewalk on the north side of Woodlawn, or merge with traffic through the lane reduction.
Property and business access and parking
All businesses in the construction area remain open and accessible throughout construction.
Every effort will be made to maintain access to driveways in the construction area during working hours (7 a.m.–7 p.m.) Construction activities and equipment movement may temporarily impact access to private property and delays should be expected.
Guelph Transit stops on both sides of Woodlawn Road will be relocated further east during construction. There are no route detours but buses may experience delays and riders should allow extra travel time. Visit guelphtransit.ca for information about stop changes.
There will be no interruption to any City services during construction. Waste collection will not be affected. Please continue to place your green, blue and grey carts at the curb, as per your regular schedule.
The City appreciates your patience, understanding and co-operation during this work. Any updates will be posted on guelph.ca/construction.
