About the planning applications

Proposed development application

1300 Gordon Street (City File: ZC1707 and OP1704) – Ward 6

The subject site is 0.242 hectares in size and is located on the east side of Gordon Street between Arkell Road and Edinburgh Road South.

An Official Plan amendment is proposed to amend the existing Significant Natural Area and Natural Areas to High Density Residential to develop a 6-storey residential apartment building with a density of 132 units per hectare. A Zoning Bylaw amendment is proposed from the existing R.1B Single Detached Zone to a R.4 Residential Apartment (Specialized) Zone to permit a 6-storey apartment building with 32 apartment units.

Important information about making a submission

If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to Guelph City Council before the bylaw is passed, the person or public body:

  • is not entitled to appeal the decision of Guelph City Council to the Ontario Municipal Board; or
  • may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Municipal Board unless, in the opinion of the Board, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
