Construction notice: Wellington Street East and Surrey Street East paving

Neeve Street to MacDonell Street

Map shows area os Wellington to be paved between Macdonell and Neeve, and area of Surrey to be paved west of Wellington

The City is working with Capital Paving Inc to:

  1. Remove and repair concrete curbs
  2. Raise manholes, and
  3. Repave the road surface.

All work will take place on City property.

Road work begins August 23

Road work is expected to start on or about August 23 and continue for approximately three weeks, weather permitting.

Lane reductions

There will be a lane reduction but two-way traffic will be maintained for the duration of the work. Some noise due to equipment movement may be expected during work hours (Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.). The contractor will make every effort to minimize noise.

Property access and parking

Every effort will be made to maintain access to driveways within the work area during working hours (Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.). Temporary delays due to road work and equipment movement should be expected. All driveway access will be restored at the end of each work day.

On-street parking will not be permitted in the work area for duration of the work.

Pedestrian access

Pedestrian sidewalk access will be maintained.

City services

There will be no interruption to any City services during construction. Waste collection will not be affected. Please continue to place your green, blue and grey carts at the curb, as per your regular schedule.
