First annual ‘Stuff a Bus’ for Easter event

 

 

 

 

 

Guelph, Ont., April 7, 2017 – On Saturday, April 8, Guelph Transit operators and staff will be collecting non-perishable food and cash donations in support of the Guelph Food Bank.

This first annual ‘Stuff a Bus’ event will take place from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Metro located at 500 Edinburgh Road South.

“Our members are very excited to support the Guelph Food Bank at this time of year, and we look forward to having Guelphites join us on Saturday to help us Stuff a Bus,” says Andrew Cleary, Amalgamated Transit Union local 1189 president.

“Supporting our community is important to staff at Guelph Transit,” says Mike Spicer, general manager, Guelph Transit. “We were approached by ATU to host this event, and we were very happy to get involved and lend our support.”
