March 2017 – On-Street Parking Survey
The City’s Transportation Services department has received a public request to review on-street parking on King Street between Arthur Street and Eramosa Road. Specifically, the request is to review the feasibility of installing time limited on-street parking in an effort to deter long-term, weekday on-street parking.
To address this request, the City is proposing a “2-hour maximum, 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday” restriction on the west side of King Street from Arthur Street to Eramosa Road. The proposed restriction would not impede the existing permissive overnight parking restriction; however, residents in the area would not be exempt from the proposed 2-hour maximum during weekdays.
Staff must receive a minimum support rate of 75% of the affected residents that are in favour of the proposal in order for the change to occur.
We have set-up various methods of communication. Please complete the survey sheet by using one of these methods. For your convenience, an online survey has been created and can be accessed by clicking below.
