Between Macdonell and Northumberland street
Notice date: February 23, 2017
About the project
The City is replacing storm sewers, sanitary sewers, and the water main along Wilson Street between Macdonell Street and Northumberland Street. As part of this work, it is necessary to confirm depths of existing utility infrastructure, which will be done by Hydroexcavation. The work is being completed by Super Sucker Hydro-Vac Service Inc.
This work is part of the Wilson Street reconstruction and parkade project.
Construction begins February 27
Construction will begin on Monday, February 27 and will take approximately one week to complete, weather permitting.
On-street parking spaces along Wilson Street will be blocked off on February 27. Some parking spaces may be reopened as the contractor completes work during the course of the week. Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and park in other areas of the downtown.
Property and business access
All businesses in the construction area will remain open and accessible throughout construction.
There will be no interruption to any City services during construction. Waste collection will not be affected. Please continue to place your green, blue and grey carts at the curb, as per your regular schedule.
The City appreciates your patience, understanding and co-operation during this important construction project. Project details and any updates will be posted on guelph.ca/construction.
