Construction Notice: Parking restrictions on Wyndham and Macdonell streets

About the projects

Two development projects in the downtown area will be using a crane on Wednesday, March 1 and Thursday, March 2.  In order to accommodate the crane, a number of on-street parking spaces by the former Acker’s building (42 Carden Street) and the Petrie Building (15-19 Wyndham Street North) will not be accessible.

Construction begins March 1

Construction activity along Macdonell Street will take place on Wednesday, March 1 and take one full day to complete.

Construction activity along Wyndham Street North will happen on Thursday, March 2 and should be complete by noon the same day.

Parking access

On-street parking will be blocked off along the north and south side of Macdonell Street from the Macdonell parking lot to Wyndham Street.

On-street parking will be blocked off along the east side of Wyndham Street between Macdonell Street and Cork Street.

Each location’s parking restrictions will be for one day only.  Macdonell Street on Wednesday, March 1 and Wyndham Street North on Thursday, March 2. Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and park in other areas of the downtown.

Property and business access

All businesses in the construction area will remain open and accessible throughout construction.

City services

There will be no interruption to any City services during construction. Waste collection will not be affected. Please continue to place your green, blue and grey carts at the curb, as per your regular schedule.
