Northumberland Street to Gordon Street
About the project
The City is replacing storm sewers, sanitary sewers, and the water main between Gordon Street and Northumberland Street. This is the first stage of the Wilson Street reconstruction and parkade project. Water and sewer construction will also be completed for the upcoming parkade construction project.
Wilson Street road closure begins October 11
Starting on or about October 11, Wilson Street will be closed between Gordon Street and Northumberland for about two months. Traffic will be detoured along Norfolk Street to Macdonell Street. Pedestrian access will be maintained along Wilson Street between Gordon Street and City Hall.
Access to Wilson Street parking lot
Every effort will be made to maintain access to the Wilson Street Parking Lot during the construction period. Closure of the parking lot may be necessary for certain construction activities. When this happens, notice will be provided to permit holders.
Guelph Transit routes 5, 8, and 9 will be temporarily detoured during construction. Visit guelphtransit.ca for information about stop changes and route detours.
The City appreciates your patience, understanding and co-operation during this important construction project. Project details and any updates will be posted on guelph.ca/construction.
