Traffic island construction at the entrance to South Ring Road is ongoing. Traffic is restricted to one lane in each direction.
Gordon Street to Village Green Drive
Stone Road East is being widened to provide two vehicle lanes and one bicycle lane in each direction. Work includes the installation of storm sewer pipes (complete), curbs and gutters, sidewalks and street lighting.
Construction resumes September 6
Construction on the westbound lanes of traffic is set to resume September 6. This phase of construction will include the placement of curbs and gutters, sidewalks, and road lanes, and the construction of traffic islands and signal lights at the intersection at Village Green Drive. Construction is expected to be complete by mid-November. Final road paving will be completed in 2017.
Westbound traffic will be reduced to one lane throughout construction.
There will be no interruption to any City services during construction. Waste collection will not be affected. Please continue to place your green, blue and grey carts at the curb, as per your regular schedule.
