Summer reading programs for children and teens at the Guelph Public Library

Explore the WILDS of GUELPH…a summer reading adventure!

It’s a jungle out there! Answer the call of the wild and join a summer reading club at your Guelph Public Library. This summer, children ages three to eleven years are encouraged to explore the “WILDS of GUELPH” summer reading club!

Research proves that reading over the summer helps kids when they return to school, and of course, strong literary skills help children throughout their entire lives. Besides, who wouldn’t want to open a door to explore the wilderness of a library, connect with “where the wild things are”, and thrive in their daily reading habits! Join us for a “wild ride” this summer at any library location.

The fun begins Saturday, June 25 until Saturday, August 27 at all library locations for children ages 3 to 11 years.  Read, review, have fun, and win prizes!

Teen Summer Reading Club: Every Summer Has a Story

What is your favourite summer memory? Is it having fun enjoying the lazy, hazy days of summer in a pool or at the beach? Or sharing stories around the campfire and hiking to new heights? Whatever it may be, every summer has a story and evokes memories that cannot be recreated in any other season.

Teens entering grades 7 to 12 are encouraged to join the Guelph Public Library’s “Every Summer Has a Story” reading club starting on Monday, July 4, 2016 at all library locations.

With your library card as your passport, explore new horizons this summer, travel the world of books, connect with your friends, and challenge yourselves to complete the library’s teen summer bucket list.

Don’t miss out! The teen summer reading club ends on Saturday, August 27, 2016 and like the best things in life, this library program is free with lots of opportunities to win great prizes and more!
