Map showing area of construction on Bristol StreetThis is your opportunity to view project information, including maps and schedules, and to ask questions about traffic impacts and access to properties. You’re encouraged to provide comments and feedback to City staff and consultants at the open house.

The City is proposing to close Bristol Street from Raymond Street to Holliday Street with limited local access to accommodate the replacement of underground infrastructure. Construction is expected to start early or mid August and will take about four months to complete. Local traffic will be re-routed via Raymond Street with temporary intersection closures of Raymond and Holliday at Bristol Street during construction.

About the project

Aging infrastructure under the Bristol Street roadway needs to be replaced. The City’s construction plans include the replacement of sanitary and storm sewer pipes, water main, curb and gutter and driveway aprons. Road repaving will include bike lanes and curb narrowing between Yorkshire Street and Raymond Street to prevent on-street parking and support traffic calming through this location.

The City of Guelph appreciates your patience and understanding as we complete this important infrastructure project. For more information about this project, including updates, please visit guelph.ca/construction.
