City’s General Manager, Parks and Recreation, accepts new position in Milton


Guelph, Ontario, January 12, 2016 – The City of Guelph regrets to announce that Kristene Scott, General Manager, Parks and Recreation, will leave the City to join the Town of Milton as Director of Community Services.

“Kristene has been a great support to the Corporation and we thank her for her dedication,” said Derrick Thomson, Deputy CAO, Public Services.

Ms. Scott started with the City of Guelph in August 2014 and was instrumental in the realignment of the Parks and Recreation Department, the management of a number of capital projects including the highly anticipated renovation of Victoria Road Recreation Centre, and the implementation of GIS mapping of all parks.

“On behalf of the Corporation, I would like to congratulate Kristene and wish her well in her new position,” added Thomson.

Ms. Scott’s last day with the City of Guelph will be February 2, 2016.
