Guelph Hydro pruning trees in 2016

Guelph, Ont., December 15, 2015—Guelph Hydro has hired professional arborists at Asplundh Canada ULC,  to trim trees near power lines in Guelph and Rockwood.

Trees that grow too close to overhead power lines can pose hazards to the community and utility workers,  and are a primary cause of power outages during severe weather.

Tree pruning will take place between January and May 2016 as part of Guelph Hydro’s efforts to provide a safe and reliable power supply to Guelph and Rockwood.
