Animal Control Bylaw review public meetings – register now

The City of Guelph, with the assistance of the Animal Control Working Group, is reviewing its animal control bylaws to make sure they meet the community’s needs for regulating poultry, and domestic and exotic animals in Guelph.

You’re invited to participate in one of the upcoming public meetings at City Hall, 1 Carden Street, to learn more about the review, ask questions, and to tell us what you think about the proposed bylaw recommendations. Please note:  Following the public meetings, the recommendations will be posted at guelph.ca/animalcontrol.

At each interactive session, facilitated by Rebecca Sutherns of Sage Solutions, the following topics will be discussed:

  • Animal licensing
  • Animals in public spaces
  • Exotic animals
  • Limits on animals

Your comments

All feedback will be included in a report provided to City Council and will help staff develop the final draft bylaw for Council’s consideration in 2016.
