Paramedic Services Week is May 24 to 31

Public invited to three information sessions

Guelph, ON, May 20, 2015 – To kick off Paramedic Services Week, May 24 to 31, Guelph-Wellington Emergency Medical Service is hosting three community events. This year’s theme is ‘Paramedics Expanding Care.’

On Monday, May 25 and Tuesday, May 26 from 1 to 9 p.m. an information and vehicle display will be set up at Stone Road Mall, 435 Stone Road Mall West. The public is invited to check out an ambulance, watch equipment demonstrations, hear about the paramedic’s role in the community, and learn more about the community paramedicine and File of Life programs. A free blood pressure clinic will also operate both days.

Then on Wednesday, May 27 the public is invited to a free, drop-in information session to learn more about the Guelph-Wellington Community Paramedicine Program. File of Life magnets will be handed out. The session runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Meeting Room D at City Hall, 1 Carden Street.
