About the project
The City will be reconstructing and widening Stone Road East between Gordon Street and Village Green Drive. Work will include the installation of storm sewers, curbs and gutters, sidewalks, and street lighting, the replacement of the existing watermain, and repairs to the existing sanitary sewer. The final road reconstruction will widen Stone Road East to provide two lanes for vehicular traffic in each direction with the addition of on–road bicycle lanes as recommended by the Cycling Master Plan.
Reconstruction timing and staging
Reconstruction is expected to begin in late June, 2015. Reconstruction will be completed in two stages over the 2015 and 2016 construction seasons in order to minimize the impact to through traffic and to accommodate utility relocation schedules.
The City of Guelph appreciates your patience and understanding as we complete this important infrastructure project.
