Guelph, ON, March 5, 2014 – Guelph will once again celebrate Canada Water Week with a variety of events and activities sure to please all ages. Running March 17-23, Canada Water Week is a coast-to-coast celebration of water held annually in the third week of March to coincide with United Nation’s World Water Day on March 22.
In Guelph, Canada Water Week celebrations are book-ended by two Water Wednesday events, hosted by the Guelph Public Library. These events are a great opportunity for water discovery for the whole family with games, interesting facts about Guelph water, freebies for the kids, and prizes for all.
On World Water Day, the City of Guelph, in collaboration with Wellington Water Watchers, hosts the second annual H2O Go Festival at City Hall. This free, family-friendly event will have engaging, hands-on children’s activities, interactive displays, talks from industry professionals, and opportunities for thought–sharing through art and science for people of all ages.
These and other Canada Water Week events will be taking place throughout the Guelph community. A full list of events scheduled in Guelph and the surrounding area can be found at canadawaterweek.com. Stay tuned as more events are added leading up to Canada Water Week.
