All invited to Mayor’s New Year’s Levee January 11

Live entertainment, children’s activities, and skating at Market Square

GUELPH, ON, January 3, 2014 – Mayor Karen Farbridge will host her third annual New Year’s Levee at City Hall and Market Square on Saturday, January 11 from 1 to 4 p.m. All are welcome to attend this free, family-friendly event.

Activities inside City Hall will include crafts and face painting, hot chocolate and cookies, and musical entertainment from country-bluegrass band the Dirty Dishes. The outdoor rink at Market Square will be open for skating, weather permitting.

Mayor Farbridge began the new tradition of hosting a New Year’s Levee in 2012 when Market Square opened.

“I invite everyone to join me to celebrate the start of a brand new year,” said Mayor Farbridge. “It’s a fun afternoon with family, friends and neighbours.”
