Guelph Transit bus collision investigation complete

Guelph, ON, October 29, 2013 – Guelph Police Service has completed its investigation into the transit collision that took place on Friday, October 18 on Gordon Street.

As a result of the investigation, Police have charged the transit operator with two charges under the Criminal Code of Canada.

The Guelph Transit operator has been reassigned to non-driving duties pending resolution of the matter through the courts.

The City acknowledges the severity of these charges and has cooperated fully with Police in its traffic collision investigation.

The City of Guelph understands the community trusts Guelph Transit to carry passengers safely, and remains committed to the safety of all passengers, drivers, pedestrians and transit operators.
