Guelph, ON, October 18, 2013 – Emergency Response, Guelph Transit staff and Guelph Police Service are currently on the scene of a collision involving a Guelph Transit bus near the Gordon Street and Arkell Road intersection.
The bus was travelling southbound on Gordon Street when it hit a northbound vehicle. Two other vehicles were also involved. At the time of the collision, there were no passengers on the bus.
Emergency personnel have rescued one person who was trapped in their vehicle. That individual was reportedly conscious and alert, and has been transported to Guelph General Hospital for observation.
All traffic has been rerouted to allow Guelph Police to reconstruct the collision scene. An investigation is underway.
A transit advisory with detour details has been issued.
