The Berenstain Bears LIVE! a perfect March Break evening out for families

Guelph, ON February 28, 2013 – With over 300 titles selling roughly 260 million copies in 23 languages, the Berenstain Bears is undoubtedly one of the most prolific and well-loved book series in all of children’s literature. These beloved tales from Bear Country will come to life at River Run Centre on Friday, March 15, at 6:30 p.m. with a performance of the award-winning musical, The Berenstain Bears LIVE! Musical actors portray members of the Bear Family, including Mama, Papa, Brother and Sister. They sing and dance their way through familiar adventures, inspired by favourite Berenstain Bears stories like The Berenstain Bears Learn About Strangers, The Berenstain Bears and Too Much Junk Food, and The Berenstain Bears’ Trouble at School. In the Berenstain tradition, there’s always a lesson or two to be learned. By the end of the show, each Bear comes to learn that what really matters is family.

The Berenstain Bears Live! In Family Matters began as an off-Broadway show in New York City, presented by Broadway producer, Matt Murphy. The show was held over in New York thanks to its huge popularity. It is now touring North America, including this stop at Guelph’s River Run Centre. The script has the authors’ approval, and is a hit with the same children who love the books— typically preschoolers up to Grade Three.

Tickets start at $19 for adults or $16 for children. $5.00 eyeGO tickets are available for high school students with valid ID. $20 uGO tickets are available to university and college students with valid ID. Tickets are available at the River Run Box Office, or online at
