Collective bargaining between the City and GPFFA starts tomorrow

GUELPH, ON, December 17, 2012 – The City of Guelph and the Guelph Professional Fire Fighters Association (GPFFA) begin collective bargaining tomorrow.

It is the City’s hope that it can achieve a fair, reasonable and affordable contract that reflects the important job firefighters do in keeping the City safe.

The City will be looking to balance this with long term sustainability for Guelph taxpayers as was the case with what other City employees have received in recent rounds of collective bargaining.

Throughout the negotiations, the City will endeavour to keep the residents and taxpayers apprised of its progress.
